Below is my post on another platform in support of this Guzzi Tech site. If a person will just take the time to read through the site, most all of the sought after information is here PLUS some great educational reading and cartoons (photos)! Thank you Todd for providing access to ALL OF THIS.

“Thank you Glenn for the comments. I am a believer in the ECU programming issues associated with the historical and ever evolving emissions issues. Being old school, I come from changing cams, milling heads, installing roller rockers, balancing larger carbs and swapping out gears to get the highest performance possible. Things have changed some with all the electronic wizardry built into all vehicles these days. Some are GREAT improvements while others have been nothing short of a “voodoo doll with impaled pins” for governmental control. Anyway, I also have chosen a “route for advice” that includes serious education on an “ECU level” beyond my ability and /or equipment. My choice is US based Guzzi Tech website. The amount of “depth” on that website/forum should be enough to encourage the greatest skeptics to join. I have read over and through the various V7 I,II, III and now 850 Special postings and grasp the issues and offered workarounds. Top notch is all I can say. My reading supports your comments regarding improvements by changing exhausts, ECU re-mapping, EVAP clean up and SAS plugging. To further the ECU re-mapping topic, they (owner along with specialists) have dissected and “fixed” the programming issues on the earlier models and offer a couple of well packaged consumer options. As of today, they have not advertised success with the new V7 850 Special ECU because they don’t have a bike available in their shop. I’m holding off doing anything outside of riding off my 1st service mileage until they announce success with their programming efforts. Once available, I’ll move forward.

A couple of things about the website. If you join, consider donating “to their cause”. If a person considers the amount of knowledge, products and almost immediate access to support offered to the public, one can find no other equivalent out there for less than a small donation. All this R&D that we can benefit from, comes from the forum donations and their product sales. The testimonials are out there supporting this website.

Lastly, I’ve read that the Beetledung map might lead to a corrupted and unrecoverable ECU. Maybe related to the source, but whatever the case, proceed with caution if going that direction. www.guzzitech.com”

TONS of work. Not a large prospect of selling enough copies to even recover your expenses while writing it, let alone make any money from it.

Hey Todd, have you ever thought at some point to write a book about each of the Guzzi's? like major issues, tips, etc?
It’s been done pre-internet times, a book called Guzziology by an extremely knowledgeable gentlemen named Dave Richardson. I've met him and consider him a friend. It's good for older bikes up until mid-‘00s. In large, this site functions as just that (digitally, with a search feature). ;)

I was afraid of this answer, hence I had a ready made answer: I was not thinking of a standard service book, but more of a Guzzi peculiarities and how to avoid/improve it. And money before, at least to check who is in. At least when you decide to close down the website :))

I bought Guzziology a few years ago. It is a life time of acquired knowledge, and I am sure it took Dave his entire career to compile it, never mind write and publish it. I have red the entire book recently (Covid). I do not expect we will see anything like it again.
However, if you are looking for in depth information about the carcs and later series, with their electronics and fuel injection, this is the place.
3 years ago, I signed in to another North American based forum. I have never gone back. This is all I need.
