Handlebar risers for a Jackal?

I have a 2001 Jackal with a lower handlebar than standard, which came with the bike when I bought it.

I like the look of the bars, they just seem a little too far forward and cause some pain between the shoulders when driving.

Has anyone had any success using some aftermarket handlebar risers? If so, which ones did you use?

Thanks in advance.

Rob

This is the bike as it currently sits. I plan on recovering the seat so that I sit higher, using more of, and a better quality of, foam padding. Right now my legs (34 inseam) are a bit compressed and I think that after raising the seat height I will definitely be too far from the bars for a comfortable ride.

I just remembered that the bike came with an extra set of bars, which I presume are the stock bars. Perhaps these might provide some relief? IMG 8714
