Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knows of someone here in the states that does head work? Port and polish. I want to go between track and hot street

Thanks

Doug

I had my wifes V11 done at Speed's Cycle in Elkridge, Md. But while it worked out pretty well for me, I am not sure I would do it there again. They do not have a flow bench and do it by look/feel. But as I said, in the end the bike does work well.
If I had it to do all over I think I would have spent the extra money and sent the heads to Mike Rich Motorsports. But Speed's is two blocks away and that was the deciding factor at the time.
Good luck. I highly recommend it with Guzzis. The factory port job on most modern Guzzis leaves a lot of room for improvement. Very good bang for your buck.

Good luck ,I too have thought about a bit of "tidying up "of my G 1100 's heads. Being half neanderthall and half mental pygmy I have often wondered why the throttle bodies would be 45mm but the inlet port is only 41mm.Does anyone know of someone in Australia with a flow bench willing to liberate the lurking neddies within? Will improving the flow require a different fuel map?

I've got a flow bench and have been doing a bunch of experimenting, working my way through small-valve, mid-valve, and large-valve Guzzi heads. By fall I should have a good system worked out for each. If you're still wanting it done then, I could do it.

Problem is that as long as the 5.9 AM 'pooter is kept mapping will be a problem. I'm hoping Todd's PC-V will address this issue soon.

Tapered inlet tract is not too much of an issue, IMHO the biggest issue on the Griso 1100 is simply the amount of taper and the fact that the TB's are small for emissions purposes.

Pete
