Heated Grips on a 1200 Sport

It has been suggested to me that although the 1200 Sport has the same connectors under the tank as a Breva, the "software" for the 1200 Sport doesn't support heated grips.

Anybody had success fitting heated grips on the 1200 Sport?
 
I have a 2008 1200 Sport. The Breva 1100 heated grips are a perfect fit. The dash display and operation of the grips are exactly like the Breva. Everything is the same.

I have mines working perfectly :D

Software is exactly the same. Only change in the Breva has been using the new grips (blue buttons) and the 1200Sport keeping the original ones (red buttons).

You will need the heated grips that come with the straight cable, as shown in my post in 1200sport above (second link, look for the Red Spade).

I fitted mine last weekend and they are working fine. To be sure, I removed the ones off my USA-domiciled Breva and brought them home to Kiwiland. Sure need them here rather than California in the summer.

I am familiar with the early and late versions; mine is the early (non Norge style) type. The easiest way is to observe the throttle cables. If they go over the front brake lever you have the early type, if under (as in the Norge), then you have the latter ones.
