Hi all. I live in eastern France, close to italian border and I'm interested in vintage motorcycles.

I'm very pleased to ride a 83' 850 T5, especially on our little mountain roads.

That is a cool landscape to ride! 2 years ago my son&I rode le Route des Grandes Alpes from Thonon-les-Bains to south of Briancon, from where we took off towards Italy. Greatest ride ever - so far - and I'm going to do it again as soon as time is given!
Welcome to the forum!

Mike, excellent, welcome to the Forum. Please post more pictures!

How far are you from Grenoble? I hosted a couple a few years ago from that area, Trout Farmer, that owned a Stelvio. He now has a KTM unfortunately. Again, welcome and post often.

Bienvenue Mike!

Great place to live, indeed - what town exactly if I may ask? You're also very close to one of my favourite places in Europe, Aosta ... so similar to the French side, yet so very different.

Are you also on the French forum (guzzi.webemoi.com)?

Off topic: I love the link "Return to Europe" just under the "post a reply" button! :silly:

Thanks for the welcome.

In the valley between Geneva and Chamonix.

Yes (with another pseudo), I think I will post soon.

About 100 miles further north.

Hi Guzzmike,

You are a lucky man to live in such a scenic area, south east France is tres spectacular. I travelled just south of you last year, and looking forward to Mont Blanc on my winter migration this year. Here is a photo taken in the cirque de Combe Laval, just to your south west. My wife, riding pillion, was very nervous and so was I.

Cheers, Mark.
