Hi all,
I am not-so-patiently waiting for a call from the dealer telling me my new V100 Mandello has arrived. It will be my first Moto Guzzi, although I have longed for one ever since obsessing over an SP1000 in the early 80's. Never pulled the trigger on a Guzzi as I have always been a single bike at a time rider and they were never quite the all-rounders I could live with - until now. I saw the V100 and it was love at first sight. I NEED it.

I have been riding since the early 80's with a 10 year break for family and boats, but got back on 2 wheels in 2009 riding an Aprilia RST1000. Loved it, but then doctor said my neck and the low bars are not a good combo, so I have been riding a Honda CTX 1300 for last 7 years (a way underrated oddball machine). I love the twisties, touring, and just getting around. Looking forward to my new ride and to a new community!

Welcome to the GT Forum, and congrats in advance to the Guzzi Famiglia!
We anxiously await them too. Are you getting it from OCM?

We are just a short fun ride to Orange if we can be of any help for service or related. Click on the SERVICE link above, and our STORE tab above as well as the V100 section here for our upgrades as available. Hope to see you here often!

Thanks, and yes, I ordered through OCM early November. And I did see the store tab and service in Orange info which will definitely come in handy!

Welcome @Stirling, we're neighbors! I'm in Mission Viejo, spend a lot of time riding through the canyon, and over it too (KLX250). I just sold my CTX1300, replaced it with a V11 Sport. I just had to try out that big V4, drove it down from Napa. The V11 is much more to my liking. I've been enjoying getting it dialed in. Now if it would stop raining I could put some more miles on it!
Congrats on your new bike!

Hello neighbors!

I ordered mine last Feb. Dealer told me to expect in Sept of 2022 and I laughed then told me Jan and now February and Piaggio customer service told me mid-April.......... maybe. Does anyone have one yet in the US? This is my 6th Guzzi over the years and Italy doesn't march to any schedule that we can relate to in America.

I have not heard anything new. I'll check in with dealer mid March if they havent given me a call before then. I am encouraged by the euro availability (ie there actually is a production run vs just words). Its hard to be patient given the great reviews starting to swell from "purchasers"!

Dealer called yesterday and said bike arrived in TX and is in transit to NJ. Shouldn't be long now...... will post impressions.

A youtuber from texas posted a short about the V100 and apparently hell be posting a review about it sometime soon

I got mine last week. A green S. Bike is all you have heard about it. Handling, suspension, engine and brakes are all first rate. Only issue is that the trans is very tight and the clutch was actually creeping forward in first gear but it seems to be loosening up a few hundred miles. Quick shifter works GREAT despite what you have heard about it when you use it as intended for quick upshifts under load.

Had the misfortune of picking up a big nail at 375 miles in the rear tire which sidelined me close to home which I am going to try to patch from inside. Single-sided swing arm looks excellent but had to source a 65mm 12-point socket to break axle nut to remove rear wheel. As good as this set-up looks, its completely impractical to carry a 3-pound socket and 24-inch breaker bar on the bike. Made me glad that I ordered the centerstand. Breaking this nut is a 2-man job with some grunt work. I am thinking about making up a light pattern wrench with some kind of sliding handle but this whole axle set up is form over function.

Congrats. Hope you'll add your info to the Registry linked below.
Unfortunately no one patches moto tires. it's a plug and (risk or) replace it.

It really comes down to just plug it so you can get !!carefully!! to the place where you can replace it!
Carrying a 65 mm 3 pound nut around ( and a necessary breaker bar) is ridiculous!
