Like this TORC T50? LOL. It's DOT approved but that is the bare minimum safety standard and DOT trusts manufacturers to test helmets themselves so...
There's a bunch of retro helmets from Biltwell. But being a safety nerd I always get full face helmets, at the VERY least DOT AND ECE approved, and prefer Snell-certified if I find one that fits nicely. Face plants at any speed don't seem like a good idea in an open face helmet. You never know...Let's all hope we never find out the hard way, regardless of helmet preferences.

I am on my second modular helmet since my first one got a little banged up from my accident. To me they are the best of both worlds.
