I have a moto guzzi california II. In the process of putting back together and the headlamp is missing the screws. The adjustment screws plus the ones for holding the rim in the shell. I cant see how the original screw would have adjusted the headlamp. I guess the screws must be for left aim?
I have tried searching to see if i can get the screws or even if i can make up them. Unless the cibie is not supposed to have adjustment? looking at the car types they have the adjustment in the holder.
any help you can suggest?
the screws size and type?
how it adjusts the lamp, how does it fit from the headlamp rim.

I have paid for the headlamp rim to be rechromed and the shell was powder coated so is in new condition.
Vincenzo

On the CA II, you adjust the height by loosening the mounting bolts and moving the whole headlight nacell. The screw visible in the chrome ring is for left right adjustment. You really need this screw and the associated spring for this adjustment to work.

I just took a closer look at your pictures. The headlight ring is missing the assembly that allows the headlight to move left right. I see one of the tabs, I'll bet there is another opposite the one in the picture. The screw and spring allows you to move the assembly to make the adjustment. It looks like Dave's suggestion may be your only option, unless you can find a correct headlight assembly. You can find a parts manual for the bike here. http://guzzitek.org/parts_list/gb/1000/ ... ia2_PL.pdf

thanks for your help. I found bidding on ebay that my issue is the original headlight as you say. I do not have the original one. I am going to fit the cibie in and use. If i get chance to buy a standard one then I might when I come to sell the bike.
thanks again
