Hi,
if it is an original Egli frame, it's made by a "Swiss guy"...
That Swiss guy listens to the name Fritz Egli, a famous man...
His company (wich started in the mid 60's) is still active, this is his site:
http://www.egli-racing.ch/a1/index.php
I once had a copy of a Egli frame with a Kawa 1000/4 Engine in it.
Late 70's, begin 80's, 180kg and 100 hp... just for the road
That Egli-Guzzi... wauw.. that's amazing... :silly:

your completely right.
in the late 70ies i bought an original egli rolling chassis for a honda cb 750 sohc...for road and for racing.
these days i wanted one again and began to build the chassis by my own. i call it an egli replica frame. the design was similar to fritz w. eglis design. but i incorporated some improvements as modern chassis numbers (rake, trail). the results are better handling bikes as the old ones in the 80ies.
at the moment i am working on a dry slipper clutch for my honda vintage racer. it is a dream, somedays to incorporate such a technical piece of art in my guzzi racer. it would do very good to the bad habits of a drive shaft.

Here's an interesting frame:

Grabbed off here:

http://www.caferacerclub.org/t17679-guzzi-au-regime (in French)

No details on who the builder is though. Interesting how the swing-arm pivot point is arranged as well as the anti-jacking linkage. I'd like to know what it weighs, though apparently it's a modified stock frame with it's thick-wall tubing, so not as little as could be from a scratch-built I recon.
