HOT left cylinder

Same. Do not use the plastic connector for leverage. It might be easier to use a rubber safe spray oil on the o-ring and wiggle as stated above already.

Got them removed. In addition to only needing to wiggle and pull to remove the injector from the manifold and the fuel line boss I also discovered that the electrical connection is held in place by a wire retainer "ring" which needs to be pried out of its groove to unplug.

They are in the mail to the service guys...

Something that would have been good to know YESTERDAY.
Not needed. The newer style plugs have a remove from groove (like you did). The older style "Jr" connectors (below) had a tall wire ring that you pushed down. Much nicer and easier, and likely more expensive which is why Piaggio Guzzi stopped using them.

Perfect, wasn't saying your was stored that way, just noting observations we have of those in house that had this issue. Post what the report says. If not the injectors, there has to be an air leak somewhere. My bet is on the injector.

Got the fuel injectors I sent out to be cleaned returned to me on 7-10-21. Before they arrived I checked valve clearances and the left cylinder inlet valves were tight, so I adjusted to spec. All other valve clearances were good.

I put the injectors back in and it sure is easy once you know what to expect. I haven't had the opportunity to go for a ride yet, but the bike started right up and ran well at idle.

I will upload the report I received from the company that did the service. Injector Service 7 10 21 pg 1

Thank you for posting this, I just spent 2 hours wiggling, twisting and pinching, trying to figure this out. Got mine removed without breaking anything. I had to order a new fuel line assembly this morning ($150) for my 2013 V7 Special after breaking the T connection while trying to remove my fuel tank.

Interesting post, I had my right cyl running hot so I switched my O2 sensors about 500 miles ago now I'm starting get a tinge of blue on the other header and the plug on that side is now white instead of the tan color before the switch
