Left Anchorage for Hyder on May 28 after 2 days of rain and snow turned down the Cassiar highway to spectacular weather and roads
Got on 37A late
But got to the bar before it closed and met up with Ron Michaud (top left) and his crew from Alberta, I am bottom left
and our bartender Karen who claims to have lost a necklace in her cleavage!
next day was pretty rough after getting Hyderized
anyway were off bright and early (please let me sleep in)
37A in the light
back to Anchorage on the Alcan, Ron heads north befor returning to Fort MacMurray Alberta
Watson Lake
Kluane
almost home
The Yukon rods were a nightmare as usual north of Kluane but the Cassiar was superb could have been a different story in the rain as you have to descend a mountain on 15 miles of packed dirt.
3700 miles lots of mud, snow, rain, fires and a nasty hangover, when do we do it again? EH!
Cheers
Matt
