If this is covered by warranty, will the fix be worse than the problem?

All, the black stripe on the tank of the 2013 Griso is actually tape, and it's lifted. Yes, I pushed it back and it held for about an hour, then lifted again. The bike lives in a dark garage when not ridden, and does not commute, so it's not sun damaged adhesive. Any idea how Guzzi will handle this? Very well-known SoCal dealer. Here's a picture.

Not sure if warranty will cover it. I just don't know. I would certainly let the dealer take a look at it. Who knows, it might be a common thing they deal with all the time. It looks like they stretched the tape at install, instead of following the bend in the tank. You might have some luck warming it up with a blow dryer, relieving he stress in it, and getting it to stick. I have used a glass syringe with MEK in it to effect a cure on things like that. About a 50% success rate...
