anybody know what size bolt is required to mount the ignition barrel to the bottom of the triple tree on a breva 750? Mine went AWOL today.

Thanks and Happy New Year.

Do you mean the rectifier?

If so, it's M5, 8 mm heads. Should be about 25 mm long.
This is out of my mind, but I'm quite sure.

I don't know if I am talking about the rectifier or not. I am sure a picture would help. This is what I meant.

I noticed my steering lock would not engage when I stopped for lunch yesterday. By the end of the day that was the result.
It was dark when I got in and all I saw was the bolt holding this bracket was missing.

It did not occur to me that there might be more than one bolt until today.

There is and it is hanging on by a couple of threads

So I can easily find a replacement. I guess they just vibrated loose.

The 750 manuals have recently been posted here: https://www.guzzitech.com/MGGriso/Manuals.html The parts manual gives the bolt sizes, but not the thread pitch.

Aah!

The steering lock. Page 57 in the parts manual.
M8 - if nothing ells specified, standard pitch. For an M8 that would be 1,25 mm.

Here's a guide to ISO-threads and pithces:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_metric_screw_thread

Normally metric threads are coarse, and that will be just about any thread found on a Guzzi.
