My 16 Eldo is my daily rider in the PACNORWEST so it gets rained on all the time. I do try and keep it clean. One morning at 0400 I put my key in turned it and nothing happened.... I grabbed the key and got power as long as I put a small amount of pressure on the key inward. I finally got it stared and was able to get home. I blew air through it thinking I was looking at water intrusion gave it a blast of WD40 (a water displacer) and it started up no problem the next day, went for a ride that Sunday good to go. Monday morning no go... AF1 wants $322 for a replacement switch Bummer but I can do that. Get the old switch off.... Thats another story.... Has anyone pulled one? I love my Guzzi but being stranded in the rain at 0400 has sidelined by Eldo for now I enjoy my Honda but I want my Eldo back...

Sorry but a similar situation happened to me on my '14 California. I was up north in Carmel when I had a no start. I turned the key to start, hit the fob, and pressed the starter switch - nothing. I repeated the sequence and it started up. This has happened several times but I've always manage to get it started. As far as removal of the switch, I don't have a clue. Next week, I'm planning to take the bike to Todd's shop where I know they'll pinpoint the cause; they do excellent work. I'll post the outcome.
