Imolilliser fault 03 04 ???, I hav just finished a service in my 08 1200 sport and when i was reseting the dash I checked for faults,03 and 04 came up as faults so i cancelled them but they stayed on. I then diconected the battery and left the key on overnight-reconected in morning and tryed again but no luck. I have allso tryed my spare key with same results??? Any ideas where to go next. ps. bike is starting and running fine. Cheers Kiwi Croc.

Are you able to use external software to see faults that are not displayed on the dashboard? This will possibly reveal where the fault is.

The software is available from various sources, including this website.

Dash faults can be a little flaky. Some faults don't clear. You probably see the fault checked in the M column, which means it is in memory. Not uncommon to see these faults. If bike is starting fine don't worry about it. Just make sure you know your user code if the fault becomes real time active. Then you will need to enter the user code for the bike to start.

thanks for the advise, will check externaly when i get a chance . good to know it is not a bad problem .Cheers
