It's been raining in Florida since the end of July so riding has been limited. My wife doesn't ride very much or often because she was in a car wreck some time back and has a lot of steel pins holding her together.

Sunday morning I got out of bed & said I'm going for a quick ride for coffee (she doesn't drink it either) so I was pleased & surprised when she asked if she could ride too.

Soooo off we go & about 8 miles down the road I run out of gas. My bad, I usually fill up before going home but it rained hard the last ride and I didn't stop. I usually fill up between 140 & 160 miles although I have gone as far as 175 trip showed 178. Three guys on dirt bikes stopped, went home & brought us a gallon to get us the three miles to the station.

Cool!

Off we go and run right into a rainstorm. We avoided the rain by going North, then West then South but it caught us just a few miles from home and we got soaked.

All in all a good ride, but I didn't get my coffee.

that reminds me of the two times i ran out of petrol. i normally get to 170 miles on a tank but as i was keen on the throttle the tank had less. lucky enough i had just enough to the petrol station
another time i was in london and knew i needed petrol. i could not find a petrol station and ran out of petrol and had to push the bike in the end to the petrol station.
now i try to fill up earlier
good luck for next time
