Just wanted to share what a happy Guzzista I am today!! I was lucky enough to pick up my 2003 Rosso Corsa from Todd's yesterday morning, after Price worked his pipemagic, and Todd did his special breathing on it. Todd had casually said that it would seem like a different bike, considering how out of whack it was when I took it to them. I thought maybe I wouldn't be able to tell that much of a difference, since I'm not that sophisticated of a rider, but Todd was right!!!
For starters, the pipes are stunning-looking: so graceful and elegant, I think. The sound of them, however, is a different story!! The sound is EXACTLY what I wanted: throatier than before, somehow commanding but understated, not obnoxious - just perfect, in my book. Hard to put into words....
The ride is totally different than before: SO much smoother, the throttle-snatch is gone, the power is of course improved... my face hurt from grinning the whole way from Todd's to Chatsworth. I can't wait to ride it home on Sunday, on the longest, non-slab route possible from Chatsworth to Visalia - maybe something along the lines of 8-9 hours, perhaps??
I'm supposed to be spending time with my folks while i'm here, not riding, but I keep making excuses to go out to the garage, just to at least look at the bike....
A huge thank-you to Todd and Price for turning a great bike into a real jewel, and for being so generous with their knowledge, time, enthusiasm, and patience. I'm a very lucky girl!!

Happy New Year to everyone.
Jamileh
p.s. Is it Sunday yet?
p.s.s. Btw, Todd and Gretchen's place is tremendous - the view was stupendous yesterday - sunny in the canyons, overlooking an ocean of fog down at the coast - great spot.

B)

My pleasure, happy to be of help. ;)

Jamileh,
Glad you enjoy the sound. It was worth the time spent.
I rode it to work for a week and enjoyed every minute. That is a great ride.

More pics ... and a soundclip are sorely needed here! ;)

RJVB - there are a few more pix on my thread about riding the RC home yesterday. I don't know how
to do the sound thing - way too bad!! Maybe i can figure it out later? the sound is just tremendous.
"Wicked" is the best word i've found so far to describe it.... I'm still grinning from the ride yesterday.....
