• Ciao Guest - You’ve landed at the ultimate Guzzi site. NEW FORUM REGISTRATIONS REQUIRE EMAIL ACTIVATION - CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER - Use the CONTACT above if you need help. New to the forum? • There is ZERO tolerance on personal attacks and ANY HYPERLINKS to PRODUCT(S) or other competing website(s), including personal pages, social media or other Forums. This ALSO INCLUDES ECU DIAGnostic software, questions and mapping. We work very hard to offer commercially supported products and to keep info relevant here. First offense is a note, second is a warning, third time will get you banned from the site. We don't have the time to chase repeat (and ignorant) offenders. This is NOT a social media platform; It's an ad-free, privately funded website, in small help with user donations. Be sure to see the GTM STORE link above; ALL product purchases help support the site, or you can upgrade your Forum profile or DONATE via the link above.
  • Be sure to see the GTM STORE link also above for our 700+ product inventory, including OEM parts and many of our 100% Made-in-SoCal-USA GTM products and engine kits. In SoCal? • Like the new V100, GuzziTech is full throttle into the future! We're now running on an all-new server and we've updated our Forum software. The visual differences are obvious, but hopefully you'll notice the super-fast speed. If you notice any glitches or have any issues, please post on the Site Support section at the bottom. If you haven't yet, please upgrade your account which is covered in the Site Support section or via the DONATE tab above, which gives you full site access including the DOWNLOADS section. Good day all.
Just want to introduce myself as a newbie. Owned a Le Mans in the 70's but no MGs since until a picked up an Ambassador from a friend. Had forgotten what good bikes they are.
I have a spectrum of bikes all with carbs apart from one. I am on a few forums so tend to be not very active, but try to make an effort.
Cheers,
Andy

Hi Andy, welcome to the GT Forum & Famiglia. Love to get your VIN# and info for our Registry for your Ambo. Amazing bikes really. Hope to see you posting often.

Hi Todd,
Vin is 21258.
Must call in to GTM on one of my trips to the south. I'm normally in S.Cal & Baja this time every other year but obviously not this year. Try to always do hwy 1 either heading N or S as long as it's open and generally pass thru the Malibu area. We will see what 2021 brings!

I'm not sure if this is allowed, but Gregory Bender has a "Loop List" registry here: thisoldtractor.com/moto_guzzi_loopframe_loop_list.php to help keep track of all the V700s, Ambassadors, Eldorados, etc. still out there.

I'll make like I didn't see it.

There's a handful of reasons I don't allow hyperlinks (SEO and free advertising, along with taking traffic away from this site). Just don't post the http://www part of it (I deleted it above), and if it's not to a competing site for products, I'm OK with it.

Hi, I'm new to this site, the name is Dave and I'm a Loop nut! I have a 1971 V7 Special and a 1972 850 GT.
Both bikes are daily transport as I never got around to learning to drive a car and at 67 years old I'm not going to bother now.
Both bikes are used for extensive European trips and I can't wait to get across the Channel again as soon as it's allowed.

Cheers Dave.

Hi Dave,

I imagine having bikes only should help keep the grocery bills down to a minimum ;)
A car is just a bit more convenient when it’s raining...

Hi DeadEye.
I can cheat, the old girl's got a car so she does the shopping. That way she can't tell me I've bought the wrong stuff!!
