All, a well-known Italian company has made cam kits available in a VERY limited production run; Replacement cams and lifters for the few problematic 8V's. They also offer three profiles, A (Street), B (Street R), and Pro (Sport Pro R). There are for PRE-Roller Rocker cam motors ONLY. Again, these are limited production, and kits are limited. Contact me direct for info/pricing; Todd at GuzziTech.com

I'm looking for Sport (Stage 1?) Cams and Lifters for my 2006 MG Breva 1100. Months of research have turned up nothing, which leads me to believe there's nothing available mainstream. Any chance you know someone who can successfully custom manufacture this for me? If so, how much do you imagine this could cost? Thanks!

Mark, I'll write you direct email you have registered here, but for the record, the 2V cam is a old school single cam, and I can be of help for sure. Watch for my email, or write me direct e-mail; Todd at GuzziTech.com

Roller Norm, sorry, just seeing this.

Forgive my ignorance but what is the giveaway that this is roller? Different rocker arms from stock? I have not ever looked at an 8V other than my 1400 so I have no cue. Just trying to learn.

I was wondering the same thing...

Todd,

Couple of qwerstiuns:

I am using a Calvin engine in a project bike and was curious as to what might work since it is mostly a Breva engine. Curious if you could use existing performance cams (megacycle) for that engine.

Also, What is the trade off for going this direction versus getting a roller kit?

What would you want? Anything is possible with enough $.
Todd, have you , or anyone you know of, done a degree wheel job on the 1400 cams?
The base/stock cam specs, it seems, would be a good place to start for developing a new "more power cam". that term could many different things to many different riders, but you have to start somewhere...like knowing if this is an interference fit engine to start with..?
Riding a touring two up most of the time, I think i would like a bit more from 4500 to 7000. Nothing radical, a bit more lift and duration without significantly more overlap, a slightly stiffer set of valve springs with titanium retainers and keepers...all this to go with a port matched and relieved set of cylinder heads, and a nice 3 angle valve job.
