Looking at upgrading the suspension on a V7iii. Todd's Matris fork kits are interesting, but I'd like to hear from some who have them installed already. It just seems counter-intuitive to me to have asymmetric damping, particularly where any kind of substantial fork brace is missing.
Cheers

I sell just a few kits per year (despite my time and money efforts to test and post results, so I'm sure most go elsewhere to buy), and none yet have I sold for the V7 III that I am aware of, but I do have them on my V9/7 rental bike.
Single damping control has been used for a very long time now with no issues. Don't overthink it.

I purchased my kit back when the Matris preload kit was the only game in town. GuzziTech has by far the best selection of options. I wish I had waited and I might have gone the cartridge route. At any rate, I am happy with improvement in performance over stock. I would stress that you also make sure you get weight-rated springs as part of the upgrade. Also don't neglect the rear (I just had my BiTubo's fitted with weight - rated springs) that made a big enough improvement for me. If they ever produce a Racer with a suspension set up similar to Todd's custom Racer I'd consider replacing my 2013 but not yet.
