Master Cylinder Upgrade

When I bought my Jackal new nearly 10 years ago, I had the twin disc upgrade fitted and the brakes work really well.

Although she stops well, there is too much lever travel and I'm guessing that the standard master cyclinder is not up to the job. New hoses and fresh fluid have not impoved things so I am looking to replace the master cylinder- does anyone have any suggestions as to which MC I should use to give more feel and less lever travel?

This has been well covered in other threads. You need a larger master cylinder, I believe 15 or 16mm. Contact RacerX he can set you up, or look for a good one from a V11 Sport or the like.

Thanks John. I can offer several solutions based on your budget, and everything available now if far superior to the one supplied with the original kit. Contact me direct for more info, PM or direct e-mail is best; Todd at GuzziTech.com

Thanks for the kind offer Todd- unfortunately if I order from the States I get stung big time by the tax man whenever postie knocks on my door with a parcel!

I eventually bought a new (but very cheap) 16mm Brembo unit from Italy as used on the V11 / Ducati 916, combined with a Beringer reservoir which has made a huge difference to the braking- much more feel and power.

Cheers

Guy
