Will you summarize why one should consider swapping these bits for stock? Thanks.

Todd, can I have eye to eye length for the 'R' please and also does the pre-load adjuster need a tool to adjust or can it be done by hand?

The G11 & 12 are delivered with quite severe damping rates. Depending on how you ride, it may work well, or not. If you think the Griso suspension is adequate as delivered with a few simple tweaks, none of these are for you.

For those who have ridden a bike where the suspension was set up for your weight and riding style, you know it is worth every $.

I'll check in the morning... but from memory, it's ~342.9mm. I believe the 'R' requires a simple allen wrench.

My Bella's rear shock appears to my dim eyes (& brain) to be 310mm eye to eye, with about 40mm stroke length to the rubber bump stop, all measured on the bike. B)

That could possibly be a rocker ratio of 3:1
I do wish to raise the rear 1" (measured from the axle) so I'm guessing a 8mm longer shock?????
But a 310 eye to eye with the option of +15mm would be handy.

Griso shock is 317.5mm stock. I'll post back in the morning as to lengths I can get.

Both KE and R are 319 mm to 328mm max. I am awaiting a reply on custom lengths, otherwise I know Penske can do so.

Has anyone installed these Matris packages in a Griso yet? I'm pretty interested though I wish they had a valve/spring package for the shock instead of having to replace the whole thing. Anyone have any before/after experiences?

The first Matris rear shock for a Griso is on the way to me as I write. I'll have the owner post his words after installation.
It is nothing short of amazing on my Stelvio... I'm beyond thrilled.

The stock shock (all models) is a cost-point unit, and isn't really worth the investment of time and money with so many rear shock options. The forks are Showa, and can be re-valved/re-built with huge success (and expense) for an amazing improvement. Matris offers a full drop in kit as you've seen as well.

Sounds good. So are the fork and shock packages ordered and configured based on rider weight and ride preference then?

They absolutely are. Built to order, for your specs and riding style. Takes about 2~3 weeks.
