Tuned and Synch'ed
I've had the Quat-D on my G11 for a little over a year. Great fit and look. No issues or interference with panniers, lights etc. And it looks (in my opinion) like it's truly matched to the bike. Doesn't look added on. Just looks... right.
Sound wise, it's not very loud at all with the dB killer in. In fact it's quieter at idle than the factory pipe. Without the dB killer it's a very different sounding device. Pretty loud and raw. And deep. On the throttle the bike sounds to me like a REALLY big 4-stroke dirtbike. Hope that doesn't seem strange to say or hear. It's an interesting contradiction to how elegant the bike looks. And despite the decibels there is NO mistaking the sound for a Harley's! It's too precise.
As far as fueling, I bought the pipe knowing I'd be getting a PC-5 and O2Opt from Todd, so I only ran it on my G11 for a month without fueling improvements. It ran "okay" with the dB killer removed, and hated running with the dB killer and cat removed. Wouldn't even idle consistently. But what the heck. It's worth the extra money and get a better fueling setup whatever you do. It's worth it, just for the smoother overall running.
