Well, sounds like Rapid City will get nailed with over a foot
of snow, high winds and negative windchill. CRAP!

We had snow/rain yesterday and a low of 7 F last night not counting the windchill. Last year I had been riding for over a week by now and the ice was out of the lakes. 18 to 20 inches of ice right now.
Snow in the forecast for Monday and Wednesday.

Anything is better than Tornadoes and Hurricanes !

Ice store came through Wednesday over 100.00 without power just in my area this week over 1 million across Ontario and Quebec - we were out for a couple of days -
A lot of tree's down - luckily not many failing towards the houses.
Same path where I took pictures of the BMW.

My wife was born in Rapid City, but moved away when she was 3 or 4. She does not have many memories of snow, but her older brothers have stories of some intense storms. They even mentioned that on the reservation, some to the Sioux were still living in some fairly simple structures at at that time, so that must of been fun. Of course in San Diego, I'm waiting for the "big" one. I live fairly close to a dormant fault which has not moved for eons, but I figure it only takes one time to make things interesting. So I guess each region has it challenges when it comes to nature.
