My baby just became a parts bike

Wow! It could have been worse! Get better quickly.
Collarbones are painful, I've broken mine. It's the only bone that mends even if the broken ends are not aligned.
It's rare that a fellow biker causes an accident. How did he/she fare in the crash?

She had a severe laceration on her leg that went down to the bone. This was her first day out on her first bike.

Well, that was an experience I am glad I did not have, and very much regret that the two of you met that way!

Best wishes for a successful recovery ... and, in good time, i.e., your good time, a return to riding.

What was the woman riding?

Bill

Thanks for the kind words guys. I tear up every time i go out to the barn and look at her. Just found out that I now have to go back to hospital Wednesday so they can pin/screw the bone back together.
Bill, she was riding a 2008, 1200 Sportster

Time to make a custom out of the good stuff. My collarbone is shaped like a square, I opted out for a plate & screws cause my body don't like metal. My ankle was supposed to be permanent screwed, swelling never went down.
Heal up, take it easy & come up to the rally next month @ TWO

Had a motorcycle pull out of their driveway right in front of me! Broken Collarbone and sore as Hell.

William H! Man oh man! You have the double dose of pain, being banged up yourself and seeing your beautiful bike so damaged. I wish you all the best in getting yourself healed and riding again soon. Take care, hombre.

OK
Looks like her Ins company is writing my bike off as complete loss being their appraiser noted over $9K just in the front end repair lol. Now to wait and see what they'll value it at. In the mean time they told me to remove the tag and any "Personal items" off the bike...Hmmm

I just saw this today. I’m sorry for your accident and wish you a complete and speedy recovery.

Also, I hope you are treated fairly in the insurance settlement and that you return to Moto Guzzi motorcycles as a Guzzista again.

Best wishes for your health.

Seems to me that your "Personal items" are YOUR ENTIRE BIKE! Can you roll pain and suffering into your insurance claim?
