Hello everybody. Well my 1400 runs like a new machine now after Cycle Works Calgary, our only local dealer had my bike in for new tires. They plugged my bike into the Piaggio computer and praise the lord 😆 there was a Software Mapping drivablity update showing available , they charged my .5 hours to install this as well they did the alternator wire recall .3 hours and the tires and balance etc, total was 750 Cnd.

Well, some might have read my posts or not, but my bike really ran poorly at light loads and very unstable idle, low speed operation in first and second gear almost impossible to have smooth clean power, had to slip clutch all the time below 15 mph. Also I had the what some called the creeping idle situation like the motor was not synced or something, sticking cables or bad drive by wire box. When the bike was hot soaked it would not come down to 1100 rpm it would rise high like above 2 k or not below 1800 rpm. Terrible, anyway I looked for air leaks at the manifold, no sync required on the 1400's as they have only one TB. I did find a vac hose lying loose around the right side of intake manifold, could not see where it went think it might be a vent for trans or something. Any comments?

I can't believe the change to my bike, idle is almost perfect all the time, its still a bit lean when warm but the bike rides and has nicer response off the bottom of the rpm's, huge improvement! Thanks to my Dealer for checking this for me and addressing it so professionally.

Thanks guys.

Glad to hear it runs well.
I'm surprised that they serviced your bike as they do not sell Guzzis. When my local dealer in Victoria BC stopped selling Guzzis they also stopped servicing them. You got lucky.

Hello there. Cycle Works has a few Guzzi's on the show room floor in Caglary, they sell a lot of the Adventure model and the 750's, and a load of Vespas all the time, I talked with one of the owners, known him from my racing days.

Fyi. In any case yes they did a good job for sure, fixed up my bike, amazing that they would ship my bike with that file in the PCM. Terrible, poor first owner never took it in to the dealer for any updates or warranty etc. If anyone here knows the tuners on this site we should maybe download the file they put in my bike for others to have as well. Huge change in the bike, adding the booster plug also helped but the new Map is a fix for sure. Reg

The reason for my comment is that I looked up there website and they did not list Guzzi. I just looked again and I do see that they sell them. I must have missed that the first time around. It's good to know for the next time I ride to or through Alberta, that there is a Guzzi dealer in case I need one.
