Hi my name is Gaz, I recently purchased a 1996 Quota after a long search. I owned and regrattably sold my first Quota many years ago. I am old Adventure Bike Rider and believe bikes should be ridden not hidden. I have a few issues with this bike so will be hunting the forums for answers to my questions. My Avatar is riding the Oodnadatta Track back in the 90's.

Congratulations and Welcome!

I too, recently found and purchased a couple motorcycles from my youth. So excited to be retiring and riding them.

I always loved the Quota and felt it was so under appreciated even though it was just as good as the BMW R100 GS.

Good on you! 👌👍

Hi Gaz, welcome to the GT Forum. The Quota is a rare bird indeed. I’ve never owned one, but I’ve worked on and ridden many over the years. I’m sure you’ve seen, but we have a section dedicated to it linked below. See you there.

Thank you for the link, it is just what I needed. I seem to have a fuel leak from around the filler. I am not sure if it is from the seal on the filler or the seal on the tank that the filler assembly attaches. Hopefully something on the thread will be appropriate. If you know of anywhere else whee the seal on a plastic tank assembly would be, feel free to advise me where to look. Cheers Gaz
