If I let my 02 Calif. sit for a week or so without being started, when I just turn the key on and the fuel pump starts pressurizing, gas starts pouring from under the fuel tank some where. Looks like its coming from the fuel filter area. If I go ahead and fire it up for a min. or so and then let it sit until the next day, there is no fuel leak at all. I can go ride it all day without any leaks. As long as I start it every day all is good. Let it set for a week, and back to the fuel leak again.
Ive pulled the tank off and cant find any loose clamps or cracked lines. I replaced all the fuel lines on it a year ago. Thinking it may be a check valve somewhere that gums up after sitting for a week? I don't want to ride it to far away from home at this point for fear that it may start leaking while out on the road some where after shutting it down and then restarting it.
Any ideas on what it may be is appreciated.
