I don't think that the standard bulbs that come with the Euro Turn Signal Kit are intense enough to be seen well by oncoming motorists. Think the headlights of the Stelvio over power them a bit. Since switching to the Euro Signals few months ago I'm noticing the reactions of on coming motorists seem like they're not seeing my turn signal flashing. I've verified they're working okay. My headlights are aimed properly.
Has anyone here upgraded the bulbs to a high intensity yellow/amber LED ?
I'm very safety minded and if I can't find a more intense bulb, then over the winter I may work on fitting an after market LED amber light strip onto the Euro mirrors that I can wire into the turn signal leads, or I may put the hand guards back on (they are removed since few months ago) and fit an amber LED strip to them instead of the Euro mirrors, to serve as front turn signals.
Both of my former bikes were Ducati Multistrada and had LED turn signal ambers mounted to/in the handguards. Sure don't want a Multi again but the idea of an LED amber strip on the hand guards seems a valid DIY option for the Stelvio.
I'm also aware of after market hand guards that have built in LED turn signal strips. That would be the most costly option. And frankly, I prefer the look of the bike without hand guards.
