Hey all, I am a recent owner of a 2009 1200. Forgive my noob-ness, I've only had old guzzis in my past, and am at least now in the 21st century-Ha! I know there has been some chat on tires here, but I guess I need a bit more of a granular response due to some issues both with limited choices for the rear ( 180/55/17) and the front. where I am, dirt roads, and mud season keep me from getting anything less than a 70/30 tire, but cant go 50/50 due to need for road handling/tire life. Is there anyone who has used different sizing for front and rear (metzeler Karoos for ex.) that they have had good experiences with?, or am I just stuck with trying to get the unicorn brand that'll fit this specific rim? Thanks in advance wise ones!

Hello,i have a 2009also and had 82000km already.at thee moment i am riding It wit Bridgestone tires the T 30in standard sizes.
They last very long and give a good driveability in the rain and in dry conditions.
The. Rear tyre lasted 20000km and thee front a Little bit longer.
Succes by choosing the right tyre.
