Hi to everyone,
Got myself a new black 1400 custom and most of the questions I've got seem to be popular.
Exhausts: de baffled originals, Agostinis or the new GT-rx??
Fuelling: stock or re flash from GT-rx?
Saddle bags: Guzzi Tourer's
( I heard they leak and mark easily...) throw overs (which ones?)
Already fitted the Tourer's bars which are awesome.

Hi..congrats on your new bike....I was wondering did you have to get new cables etc to use the Touring bars?

Thanks,

Mike

Congrats again, and I can't imagine what it would be like to "de-baffle" the stock (trash-)cans, as I'm sure that would be difficult and very complex, not even speaking of the 1" outlet diameter. Very few have put on the Italian offerings, and since there's not much out there for fueling corrections (unless I'm wrong, and outside of the work that I'm doing), people wrongly assume that the stock fueling system will compensate; it will not. I should have my exhaust offerings finally completed and ready for sale here very soon, along with dyno'ed AFR charts and corrections.
I've heard the stock bags are flimsy and leak. I will be launching on my new Store offerings from H-B, which have some nice solutions for the 1400. Also note that the stock bags will *NOT* work on the custom with the stock (remote reservoir) shocks in place.
I never paid attention to the handlebars between the two, what's the differences?

Thanks for that.
The original bars just didn't do it for me comfort wise. I sat on a tourer and felt better immediately. The Touring bars were $350 and all cables had to be replaced. But I'm very happy with the result. I'm looking forward to the muffler and fuelling info. I'm not looking for LOUD pipes as I do some pretty long rides, but the originals are stupid quiet. Are you advising filter change as well eg K&N?
By the way, where do you post from?
Thanks again

Installation of stock bags (Ieather covered in my case) on the Custom requires mounting brackets specific to the Custom, which accommodate the remote reservoirs. The reservoirs must be rotated, though, to move the lines away from the brackets.
