New bike

I have wandered from my MG V85TT for this... Still have the MG but I needed some thing off the hook and edgy. Its a Ducati 2021 V4View attachment 28639
gorgeous. I had a 1098 streetfighter that I regrettably sold off in 2019. The spirit of the older SF lives on this one. Super docile in the low revs and behaves like an untamed beast in the high revs.
Cheers!

At first I yearned for a SF 1098 with that dry clutch. But I said fvck it, get the V4. Its really a cool bike, you can putz around in 6th gear @ 50 mph about 3000 rpm's or you can blast it up to 14,500... From 7,000 rpm's and up it pulls like a train, really it pulls from any rpm. If ya ever get a chance to test one, doit! Only negative its fuel economy, currently getting around 30.

if i tried putzing around at 3k on the 1098 it would just want to buck me out of the seat.
The 1098 is definitely more hot headed and temperamental.
I have ridden it and honestly its a little too refined for me. I like the rumbleness and that sort of "unrefined" feeling of a twin. I will say that it's an absolute rocket and an engineering masterpiece.

Enjoy your new ride, Dave! I looked at a Ducati V4 adventure bike (not sure the model) before buying the V85TT. Specifications showed a lot of power, a good size fuel tank, and reasonable weight. It sounds like it would need a "good size" fuel tank to have reasonable range. I decided against it without taking a test ride because I wanted to avoid chain drive, prefer air cooling, and the price was almost twice the price of the V85TT.

GerryAZ, the multi strada V4 would be a great canyon carving ADV bike. But I think the MG V85TT is the best ADV bike for the money, if I could only have one bike the V85TT would be high on the list!
