I visited the Audace at an unveiling today.

It appeals to my "rough men" self-image - typical of a construction worker.

I must say I'm enamored with the Audace but when I get one - I don't think "if" is the question - I might have to find a "club" with "colors" and a M1 Garand rather than a M16 on it.

The Audace reminds me of the drag bike Harleys from the Sons of Anarchy. - and I am a bit of an Anarchist.

Hi thanks very much for the pics, really appreciate it. Does anyone have any specs? I am trying to find the weight of the audace but not having any luck, hopefully they have shaved a few kg off.

Check out the Moto Guzzi USA Model Year 2015 brochure at: http://www.motoguzzi-us.com/public/upload/brochure/mg_range_my15.pdf
According to Moto Guzzi the curb weights of the California variants are as follows:
Touring: 743lb/337kg
Custom: 701lb/318kg
Eldorado: 692lb/314kg
Audace: 637lb/289kg

I have always preferred standard foot pegs and shifter instead of floorboards. I wonder how much the conversion would cost?
Heck maybe even knock off a few more pounds.....

2nd article I read about the handling issues with the Audace. I am perfectly happy with my Cali 1400
Little powder coat for a change of looks, pipes and reflash from Todd = More power.. IMO better looks and better handling..

Glad I went with CALI,,,,Just my opinion...

Me too. My Custom is my favourite bike for throwing into the corners. Reduced ground clearance even after ditching the plastic "sliders" under the floorboards, but stable as Gibraltar rock.

I am about a third of my way thru the stand bolt/assembly, it seems to hit on mine? anyone else?

No, but I've worn through a couple of sets of sacrificial anodes (factory call them footrest pins). Sliders were removed after a couple of hundred miles.

Interesting that's where I touch down, whereas you are hitting the stand pivot. Unless of course, you have already ground your pins down.

I drag the brake arm on the right, and have pushed/slid the front end far too long to be comfortable, and the kick-stand is equally annoying. All of this has lessened since I set the new/proper suspension up. ;)

Bike Magazine tested the Ducati Diavel, Harley CVO Breakout and Moto Guzzi Audace in this months issue. While each had it's high point and of course the Ducati was the fastest they gave the overall to the Guzzi. I can't link to an online version of the test as apparently they don't post them online. OK by me, I like the magazine.

HEAVY METAL
Cruiser doesn’t mean tassels and leather bags. Ducati’s radical new XDiavel, Harley’s full-on CVO Breakout and Moto Guzzi’s luxurious Audace mix power, pose and practicality with foot-forward cool.

I don' see the Custom on the moto guzzi website anymore. When did they stop making it?
