I've got the smaller one. So how is that one with wind noise into the bottom of the full bucket?
I've got the smaller one too and just got a new shoei helmet on my first ride there was more noise through the bottom of the helmet so went back to the dealer and he fitted a chin curtain to the Shoei, it made it quieter but still not brill. I have noticed that if I stand up it is a lot quieter but it makes my legs ache :) so I'm thinking of removing the Dart. Steve.

I had the small one on my V7II Stone and replaced it with the Marlin. Neither is noisy or deflects wind onto my helmet (Shoei Neotech). If anyone is interested in a slightly used small one, it's listed on the "other" Moto Guzzi site in the Swap Meet section (sincere apologies if I'm violating policy here).

Sib. do you ride on the freeway at all? Because For me at least I have found I do pick up a little noise from the short version of that fairing on the freeway at or above 50 mph.

I do ride freeways up to about 85 mph, although I avoid them whenever possible. I suppose the choice is between some wind on your mid section or some noise. Note that I didn't say they are silent, merely not noisy. In any case, before I got the first, small screen, I rode several thousand miles with no screen at all, and I didn't notice any increase in the noise level when I put the screen on.

I'd suspect anything is more noisy (however you process it) above 50 and more so as you go up in velocity.
I's say the above comment is right on. It's not silent, but it's not noisy.

On my V7 with nothing the noise went up with increased speed. It's not a significant difference with the Marlin-for me. Hopefully that helps.

I'm tempted to try out the Marlin, just don't want another motorcycle part hanging on the wall of shame, (parts that didn't work out).

Yes I have a few old screens and now I have the dart I may try cutting one down to fit to the dart brackets. I'll start bigish and gradually cut it down until it feels at it's best. I know the brackets are not designed for a big screen. Steve.

Well, there was less wind off my chest, but I think I still want to go bigger. Honestly, I'd like a nice batwing fairing for this baby :) I'll probably sell the Marlin and start all over. I'll post on the classified page tonight.

I'll take that off your hands, contact me so we can exchange information.

Best purchase I made for the Goose. Makes riding on the highway enjoyable. Highly recommend the Merlin.
