Just a quick intro. Got my new 2011 Norge in black a few weeks ago from Corsa Meccanica. Haven't done much riding yet but I did notice a few nice changes from my 2007 Norge which I only owned for a few months last year. No more searing heat from the heads and a nice increase in power. Seating position is a bit more comfortable too. Looking forward to some riding and learning from this forum. My other bike is a '07 R1200GS.

No more searing heat? What the hell will I complain about????

Any ideas what they did to eliminate the heat problem? I still have the 2007 and not sure how to cool it down...

Did they raise the seat? Or how did they change the seating position?

Oil cooled cylinders and better fairing resulting in less heat. I believe the handle bars are slightly further back, giving a more upright body position. The seat height appears to be the same. Engine quite a bit more power and very smooth above 4000 rpm. Overall a nice machine.

So far, the only sure cure I've found is to not stop!

Seriously, while I am tempted to see if the CFO can tolerate Todd's reflashing, etc., I have never felt this issue (much) while riding along. But, traffic stops in Georgia in the hot months can be nasty. Luckily, I rarely ride in traffic, but when I do, I wish I hadn't.

I have a white 2010 Norge that I bought from 2 wheel last April. Put just over 10,000Km on it between local rides here and a trip out to West Virginia. Let me know if you want to meet at a local Tim Hortons, and go for a local ride.
