Well, after lusting after a Stelvio since they first debuted in this country and also being one of the lucky ones to have had the opportunity to do a test ride last year, I finally dropped the hammer and bought one the past Thursday. I purchased it at Rose Farm Classics, the dealer here in Northern Illinois . The weekend before, a good friend expressed an interest in my Breva and I loaned it to him for a few days trial, which lead to an amiable transfer of title. I selected a Red

Congrats on the Stelvio Bob - the dirt is definitely where it's at. I too have a red Breva, but no way am I going part with it when a Stelvio comes along, it's just too good a bike - I just couldn't do it - you've got the way to do it though selling it to a friend you can ride it as you like - good one!

Mike, I am sure my friend would let me ride the Breva as I promised him an oil and filter change as part of the deal. I loved the Breva, especially the motor and tranny, but the ergonomics just got to be too painful for me. If your bar risers were ready and a chuck of money spent on a more comfortable seat would positively have fixed the problem, I would not have sold the Breva!
Thanks for the congratulatory note- it's the second one you sent me, as you were the very first to welcome me to this site a couple of years ago. Great place to while away the hours when riding or wrenching not possible.

Thanks too, for your always wise and interesting and words.

Sorry Mike, I was ignorant of the fact that the risers were already on the market.
Nevertheless, they would not have been anywhere near high or back far enough the allevate my problem -sitting on my boys!

Always wise words??????? If only you knew mate...

Keen to see pics of you picking up the Stelvio :woohoo:
