Just a few line to say thanks for this great site and the folks that are here to educate those of us new to Guzzis

I recently purchased my first Moto Guzzi ,a 2008 Norge, flew to Tampa and rode it back to Colorado. Not a total trouble free ride but enjoyed it greatly. Just a word of thanks to a couple of dealers who helped out in my time of need along the way. Moto Rouge in Baton Rouge La. Randy met me at the front door asked a few question and went to work right in the parking lot to bleed my spongie rear brake and assist in resolving a rough idle issue. What nice folks and then to lunch at one of the best Cajun Food eatery's ever. I will be ordering as much as I can from these guys. Then on to Houston and MPH cyclesthere I had to deal with a dash panel falling out of my bike. Larry jumped on it and had the dash secured and reset the codes in a jiffy. These guys ride both Guzzis and BMW gs so we have a lot in common. Looking forward to a ride in the Colorado with them this summer. Larry also as did Randy schooled me on as much Guzzi Knowledge as they could given the short time we had.
I have a question to you riders out there
What aftermarket exhaust should I look for on my Norge? and why
Has anyone done a peg lowering kit? It appears I will need to rework my side stand to accommodate this.
Why is there no Mountain region on the site?
Never ride without tools.
Thanks for your advice in advance
Dave

Yes, Guzzi ownership is an adventure. ;)

Don't know the La. Guzzi dealer (and glad to hear your praise). As far as I am concerned, MPH challenges the hunt for superlatives. Great place ... great folks.

As for your questions ...

[What aftermarket exhaust should I look for on my Norge? and why]. For me, your last word says it all.

[Has anyone done a peg lowering kit? It appears I will need to rework my side stand to accommodate this.] Alsmost certain this has been addressed here. Search and ye shall ..

[Why is there no Mountain region on the site?] Because the Appalachians are already in several others. :p

[Never ride without tools.] Actually, I always do. Have really not needed them. May start just having CC handy.

Oh, and congrats on that Norge. I love mine. Will be working on it in garage tomorrow.

Bill

Dave,

As for lowering pegs, I'd suggest looking at raising the seat height instead. The stock seat is in my opinion is too soft and could stand a re-work adding a couple of inches to height in the process. Sargent in Jacksonville Florida does a nice job re working seats. I had them do my Breva seat and it went from a 200 mile seat, to an all day seat.

Moto International in Seattle are purchasing adjustable pegs. Nicely made, fit any newer Guzzi.
Those pegs even found their way over the pond.
