L1000063.jpg

ok Guys here she is, defo a 750 Chris
Went out this morning, very quick to warm up, very smooth in traffic, found it a pain with no prop stand though,
They gave me a workshop manual with the bike, says the tank holds 30 ltrs???? is that right?
Says it has an audible flasher thingy,I can't hear it  PARDON

Switched off, And I could hear this quite loud ticking, Mmmmmmmmmmm its the fuel tank breather blowing bubbles :S
All for now see you later
Going for a spin
Graham

That is one nice looking machine!

When I showed her your pic The Minister has said quote: "I want one"

So now the hunt is on in earnest - RTW with an NTX 750 and an NTX Stelvio, I can't wait!

Glad you like it
Pity you are not closer, I know of another one he's just imported,
It's the ntx pa, police authority
In nice condition too, it's the one I went to see ,then saw the red one,
the police one has a higher screen ,wider too ,must have been specially made for the job,
If you need a copy of my workshop manual, let me know, it's not brilliant but it's ok, not very technical
Regards
Graham

Your dead right ,thats definatly a 750 Graham.Nice clean and original bike by the looks of it.
Normally it would have the sidestand as standard (stucci may have one ) and as far as I know they were built from late 89 on. There are a lot of detail differances in the plastic between the 650 and the 750 but the rest is largely the same. The police models differ more because they used other rim sizes.I'd quite like to try out an 18 or 17 " front on mine as it would sharpen up the steering.
Before I added the sidestand i used to use walls quite often like in the old days of panther ownership

STUCCI???????????????????? WHO'S THAT Chris

Did a few more miles this afternoon, Briiliant :eek:hmy:

Took the rear side panels off to fit my optimate charger lead, bl%%DY HELL , The battery is enormous, must be as big as my car battery, very easy to get out and top up when needed.
The condition under the covers was amazing, the previous owner as certainly looked after it, thank goodness.
All for now
Graham

Congratulations, Elvisto. It seems in very very very good state. This is my preferred colour for NTX.

I have only a minute, but i read entire thread and most of your comments are corrects. A few comments:
-Be careful with height seat and no side stand, is more difficult ride it than Stelvio.
-Tank really is 26 liters, if you force it get 28, but never 30.
-Center stand of your machine, it is a bit forced. If you look it the two wheels touch soil at same time. It's very common in these machines, but you can weld a reinforcement in iron where side stand upon contact. It will be easier to stand and to change a wheel.
-Again, at least you ride very few km or never ride in motorway or upper 100 km i advise check the u-join. Here you can found it, it's number 7 in Table 10

Regards,

Thanks Chris, they sure have the parts.

Fitted new tyres today, the MT60 are no longer available, so I went for the MT90 back and front,
Much better with new rubber on, I can feel the difference, they were about ten years old,so they were well past their best

I'm going to change the brake pads, noticed they were a little thin when I changed the wheels, just to be on the safe side.

OH!! I did notice my rear brake braided hose ran over the top of the swingarm and was tied back on the footrest frame tube where it has been trapped at some time or other :silly: so while I had the caliper off I routed the hose underneath the swingarm where I think it should be, much better. B)
Cheers
Graham
