Last week (May 13 thru 18) was a lot of fun, I got to ride & camp with two good friends. We camped in Conecuh National Forest in South East Alabama & rode a couple hundred miles each day.

Barb & I did about 400 miles to get there because I took her thru some of the best Florida roads there are & then up into GA going West on 84 then back down into FL then up into AL. My friend Leah rode her '03 Bonneville from New Orleans & met us at camp.

We all really enjoyed riding in AL because the roads are so unpredictable. Twice the roads changed from decent black top to rough country to almost single lane to dirt or dead end. (I think they are calling me The Dead End Kid now because I was leading). There are a lot of country roads in AL & we will probably be making a return trip when all of our schedules allow.

I really enjoy riding & camping with these two because all 3 of us are "no destination", "no expectations" "whatever happens is just perfect" type of people. I've been riding for some 50 years now & it has become difficult to find people who like to ride like that so I really appreciate their riding spirit.

One other thing that made it really cool for me is that I taught Barb how to ride in the 70's & taught Leah about 8 years ago. Life is Good!
