Hi everyone, my first post here, I am curious at what temp does the oil cooler fan thermo-switch close to turn on on my 2014 Norge 8V. I heard it run a few times when the bike was new, and haven't heard it in about 2 years now. I disconnected the connector and closed the connector with a jumper, and the fan operates, but not with the switch connected.

I'm not sure what temperature it comes on at. I hear mine turn on after a good ride and I let it idle for a minute or so before shutting it down. With my helmet on I can't hear it at all. Mine had a manual fan switch on it when I bought it. If it's hot and I'm in traffic, I turn it on until I get moving again.

Comes on hot at 125*C Usually comes on if syncing TB's on the big end, spikes right up there if not in the wind.

I've never heard mine running but I wear earplugs and full face helmet. I hope the fan was on when I saw the trouble light and oil can symbol come on after sitting in slow moving traffic the last couple of days.

It is a good idea to physically check to make sure the fan blades are not obstructed by debris. When I first got the bike, and again a couple of months later, the fan was jammed up by small pebbles lodged between the blade and shroud.
