Please excuse me if this has already been covered elsewhere in the forums. I have done a bunch of searching and can find lots of accolades regarding the replacement of the rear shock of 2007 Norges, but little on the way in what needs to be done to replace it. The Norge manuals I have found are less than helpful.

I have purchase a HyperPro rear shock and after doing a gander of the bike, think it will should be easy to replace - the bottom of the shock is quite visible.

I am wondering about how to disconnect it at the top. Do I need to remove all the plastic bits that are under the seat to remove the top bolt?

As I mention, please forgive me if this has already been covered - if so, if you can give me the thread link or... it would be greatly appreciated.

It's been well covered before, but perhaps on the crashed Forum. You basically support the rear wheel, remove the linkage and connection bolts... thread the plastic pre-load adjuster knob all the way in and remove (be sure to catch the ball bearing), remove the the top bolt (no need to remove anything to pull it). It takes some fiddling and moving the swing-arm up/down, but the shock will fall out.

As Todd states but I also removed the rear wheel. Start to finish took about 1/2 an hour or so.

Thanks to all. I am sure it will be make sense once I get at it. Want to do a before and after ride, so looking forward to this!
