I am working with a machine tool company on a handle bar riser that also will provide a set back of appx 1 1/2" and simple light brackets that will bolt to the front forks using the mounting holes for the front calipers. The clever design of the risers will allow access to the front fork rebound adjustments. The concept is to produce these items as a quality product at a greatly reduced cost when compared to alternatives currently on the market. I have been fitting his prototypes and reporting the results to allow him to continue his designing of these items but his shop is in Southern Arkansas and I am in New England so he is physically unable to touch a Norge which would add greatly to this project. He has asked me for contact information of any Norge owner in the El Dorado AR area who would be interested in assisting in this project hence this email request. I don't know of any rewards for this volunteer position as he and I have never discussed it. I am involved only to volunteer my aid in the development of these products and have no financial interest in these products or in his machine tool company. This is strictly an enthusiast's desire to fill a need. If any of you Norge owners reside in his area and are interested in becoming involved on a volunteer basis please email me so I can put you in touch with this gentleman. I can be reached at rthompson@ne.rr.com. I will announce the final development of these items as soon as they are ready for production. Rod

Rod, I've been in this position several times in the past too... I can only offer up that I have a Norge here, and a local machinist who has the time. PM me if this is something you'd like as an alternative/option on getting them done.

Re:Norge Set back rizers and light mounting bracke

I have access to a machinist in the general Connecticut river valley in NH and Vermont if that will help you out in your endeavor. I also have some machine work experience and access to a bridgeport and 2 old huge turret lathes. I also know of 2 or 3 machine shops in the same area. I had a Yamaha Venture that I put motolites on and they mounted to the front caliper bolts. Let me know if i can be of any assistance. I am in Walpole, nH. I think we bought our Norges from AJ Cycle.
