Well, I knew it was bound to happen, and it did

Won a “free oil change” in a raffle from a local BMW dealership and decided to use it (regular service time was up anyway).

Called them to make sure they order correct stuff a month! prior. Stopped by and offered to write down exactly what’s required 2 weeks ago. Called 2 days ago to verify they got everything.

Before turning the key in for this engine oil change, asked to see the oil label or, at least, its weight specs.

4 times these clowns told me not to worry.

I look at the final service receipt:

wrong oil

15W-50 from a drum and semi-synthetic to boot...

Any thoughts, suggestions, and explanations to go with them, please.

P.S. Well, I was a “bit” upset, so decided to change my transmission and rear driveshaft oil as soon as I got home, to calm myself down even though I was gonna wait to do it next week.

Another reason why "FREE" usually isn't. I would get them to dump it and put in the correct oil. They could also give you the cash value of the oil change and get your own correct oil and DIY.
My friends BMW R1200 RT uses the same 10w60 synthetic as my Norge so they should have it in stock.

What is funny is I was under the impression that many BMWs also used 10w60 oil.
Do they not have that oil?
I would not personally worry about that small difference in oil viscosity unless you spend much time stuck in traffic.
But on the other hand, dumping "free" oil costs you nothing.
Good luck with it.
In hindsight, perhaps you needed to get them to write the correct oil on the service ticket when you gave them the bike. At least then you could ask them why they did not use the oil they said they would.
