Heading out tomorrow a.m. on my 06 Breva 1100 from here in Florida to Speaker's Cycles in Ohio to pick up my new black 2009 Stelvio! Looking forward to my final 1000 miles on the Breva, which has been an exemplary bike the last 3 years.

Just as much though looking forward to the trip back home on the Stelvio, with the greater legroom it affords my 34" inseam and that more potent new motor.

Trip report to follow!

Congrats Chris !

Had a feeling you were interested when a saw a previous post, I hope it's not the one I test rode and beat the crap out of at the Virgina Rally :woohoo:

ONLY KIDDING !!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Dan! Man I am excited! I think it is a spankin' fresh one as Jason just rolled it out to do the camshaft, etc. recall work last Friday I believe :=)

Congrats on the new beast and have a safe trip !!!!

Thanks and hopefully it'll all go smoothly!

Great news. Pleased for you.

Oh, and do provide the libretto you used with spousal unit for approval. May need mods for my situation, but I can no doubt get an idea or two. ;)

Not sure Atlanta is on your return route, but let me know if so. Always have a spare bedroom (and some Italian liquids) available for Guzzisti.

Lots of older gents having trouble with their libretto. I think viagra works in most cases. No shame there, Bill. ;-))

Thanks Bill :)

Well since about 3 years ago I have no spousal unit anymore so I am free to come and go unfettered :) Thank you as well for the offer of lodging. Much appreciated. I am not certain yet of my return route. I have 2 days to do the 1000 miles home on Sunday and Monday and want to choose some roads that will do the Stelvio's break-in good but not dawdle or wander TOO much. There will be plenty of time for that in the days/months/years ahead B)

Dan,

I deleted your post with your phone number. Sorry.

It is not a good idea to post such information in an open forum. You do not need to be a registered user to see all the posts. The best way to get that type of information to someone is to send it to them in a PM.

Man, that sounds like a fun and exciting trip. A long ride and a new bike to boot. That's the way I want to do it when the money finally burns a big hole in my pocket. Not to mention, it's about riding weather here in the SE ;)

I got it before John deleted it...thanks Dan! :)

Two 500 mile days won't leave a lot of play time. But if you want to meet around North Georgia, let us know. I know some forest roads.

And don't miss out on the really nice roads in southeastern Ohio and WV.

The Stelvio will be a fun ride.
