I just notice under very hard accelleration I have clutch slip.
So is this going to be a big expensive job ?
Where can I get the parts needed (UK)
Any other pointers happily recieved.

Please tell us which bike and if a cable clutch or not. If a cable clutch, check the adjustment. Make sure there is free play at the back of the transmission. If you have this free play, then it is a clutch job that requires splitting the transmission from the engine. Labor time on a spine frame is between 5 and 6 hours. Parts price depends on where you are. You are looking at friction plates, intermediate plate, springs, transmission hub gear and the associated seals and o-rings plus the clutch push rod seals for added insurance. With it apart, I'd also replace the engine rear main just because of the labor involved in getting to it at a future time.

What model bike do you have Sandy?
What John says +.
Check and bleed the clutch MC and replace fluid if it hasn't been done recently. And as John said make sure play adjustments are correct.
First thing I would do is remove the rubber timing hole plug and peek in there with a flashlight. You shouldn't see any fluid. It would mean a failed seal or o-ring.Same labor as friction plates. You can also remove the starter to get a better look.
If you can do it yourself,or know a local enthusiast that can help, you could do it on a weekend day.I just recently did mine and the parts were about $400.00 for Plates, flywheel bolts,,shnoor washers, breather gasket,o-rings,front/rear seals, transmission nut, lock washer and clutch compression, alignment tool and socket for transmission lock nut .If you can borrow tools you can subtract about $175 from that. You guys get better prices in Europe, but keep in mind it could take months to get parts(which it took for mine),so if you want to be ready for spring you may want to get a move on.!
If no one can help you here maybe someone on the v11lemans.com site can help.I would ,but I'm in the US.

I don't know of any guzzi part suppliers in the UK but I do know of a couple in Germany.

HNB is new to me so, I haven't ordered from them before.

The only thing I would add is: Go with OE friction plates. I've had 2 Sureflex clutches fail prematurely because of excessive wear clutch hub caused by a poorly made friction plate. That was a while ago, so they may not have this problem anymore but there are plenty of other after market clutch plate out there.

Was the throwout bearing mentioned? You may as well replace that while you have the trans out or at least inspect it and replace the O-ring.
