I have a 2003 California EV and the oil light and battery light on the display stopped coming on before starting the bike. All fuses and relays are good. Anyone know what might cause this. I have checked the grounds and they seem good?

oil and battery light on display not working

The oil light and charge light operate in much different manners. The ground for the oil light is provided by the sending unit. Remove the wire from the sender and touch it to ground. If the light illuminates, it is the sender. If not it is probably the bulb. For the charge light, power is supplied by the red and black wire, and ground by the blue wire. Once the system is charging, then the blue has 12 volts on it and the bulb goes out because of equal potential. Again, this is probably a bulb, the connection to the blue wire is bad, or there is a problem with the regulator rectifier.
