Hi,
I have an oil leak on both sides of the engine back of the cylinder on top of the gearbox. Don't have a clue about where it's coming from. I did top off a few days prior. Because my oil dipstick was completely dry. I was a little stunned soo I added about half of liter and that raised the level to about midpoint of dipstick. Any idea's on what happened or what to look for?

Kia ora from NZ. Sorry to hear of your problem. I stand to be corrected but that may be a rear main bearing oil seal failure. Quite a bit of work to replace. I hope I'm wrong. Check all your breather systems are ok. Good luck.

Did you ever find the culprit?
I'm getting oil caked on in that area and Ive only got 13.5k miles and less than two years with mine

No, I have not found the problem yet. But I did install an Oil pressure gauge on the bike. My readings are Cold engine 50 psi and hot engine 30 psi. I am not letting the oil pressure go below 30 psi indicating low oil level. But, to begin with I could have been putting too much oil in the bike and maybe the pressure is forcing it out through the seams. I have been putting 2 L in the sump. But now I only put 1.4-1.5 L and there seems to be less oil in that area now. So I guess the sump could have been overfilled. My recommendation is to put 1.4-1.5 Liter's in it and try to install an oil pressure gauge. That's what I did.

I've been reading about over filling on other sites as well. Hmm seems rather interesting.
Thanks for replying back

You got a big bore kit installed? I see that shimmery grey on your cylinders
