Looking for an outdoor cover that can be locked and that will fit my 1400 Touring with a Guzzi (Givi) 50L top case. Anyone with a recommendation on make and size for a cover? I will be relocating for three months on the east coast and will have to store the Guzzi outside. Packability is not a big concern. I have a traveling cover, but that won't be suitable. Appreciate the help.

    Hi Dave,
The cycle shell looks great. Unfortunately, I need to transport the cover from CO to NJ and bring it back. I don't mind bulky for a foldable cover, but I won't have room or want to spend for shipping a large and heavy cover. In addition to overnight storage, I'll use the cover on occasion when traveling into NYC for day trips.
I did a search and found reviews for Dowco Guardian WeatherALL Plus and Oxford Protex Stretch, but it's hard to tell which might be better. They're both a little over $100 which is okay if they're good--it's cheap insurance from the elements and more importantly, reducing the likelihood of vandalism. Thanks Dave for the input.

Have you considered looking into a storage unit rental in the area? You get dry, secure storage and no need to transport anything except for riding your bike to the storage locker. Many places give a first month free deal to further reduce the costs.

Here is what I see in the Denver area: https://www.sparefoot.com/Denver-CO-self-storage.html

I am unclear as to where you need to store your bike, so if in NJ, here are some places: https://www.publicstorage.com/new-jersey

I will be using the Guzzi daily in NJ so a storage unit isn't an option. I'll get either the Oxford or Dowco cover. Thanks everyone for the input.

Oh, okay. THAT does make a difference (unless the storage unit is right next door to where you will be living). I have experience with the Dowco outdoor cover and it worked as intended.
