Pacific Yamaha - how's their Guzzi maintenance?

Any Lower Mainlanders have experience with Pacific Yamaha BMW Triumph Aprilia MotoGuzzi Husqvarna ?

I need some suspension tweaks on my Griso but don't feel the confidence to do it myself. I tried MI in Seattle but I got the hairy eyeball (from one tech) for suggesting that, as a Guzzi novice, the suspension from the factory was less then perfectly setup. Greg Field jumped in and reduced the front and rear rebound but more needs to be done, and I'd prefer to stay local. I'd consider Valley but they're an hour or more from my house whereas Pac Yam is closer.

Thoughts?

British/Italian gave Guzzi up last year and Pacific Yamaha took over it seems. Have not yet been out there. I made the trip out to Valley Yamaha because I was told the Guzzi Tech out there is very good.

PacYam hired a wrench from BIM and they also hired the sales guy from BIM, just for your info.
Edit: I must've been given bad info, the sales guy is still at BIM.

Thanks for putting the name to the face Twinsport, I suck at remembering names, takes me about three or four times for it to sink in.

Pacific was fine when I had my R1200S. Friendly bunch and everything went AOK.

Another option would be RMR Suspensions (http://www.rmrsuspensions.com/). A number of people I know go to them for setup.

And another shout out for Gord at Valley Yamaha. He's worked fixes on both my Guzzi's when others haven't been able to solve the problem.

So, I went out to Pacific Yamaha, BMW, Triumph & Guzzi today to get two valve cover gaskets, one valve cover screw(broken, don't forget to use anti-sieze) and to inquire about the new seals for my hardbags. At least three of these parts should have been available but according to parts guy " we aren't going to stock Guzzi parts"we'll have to order the stuff and it will take about 3 wks. WHAT! Thats basic stuff, Why did they pick up the Franchise if they are going to treat it like crap. Don't waste your time going there. Got home called Valley Yamaha and they have all in stock, so it seems a trip to the "wack" is coming up.

wow not going to stock parts? with an attitude like that they may wind up in the same boat as their old neighbor.

Yeap - gotta agree with the lack parts part of the conversation - its as much Guzzi's fault as it is the dealer. How ever way you look at it the customer suffers . I can sit here all night and bad mouth A to Z and still come of it dissatisfied. I would rely on your own abilities and if there is a larger problem that needs attention go with Valley or take it to Seattle at Intentional.
Warranty claims can be a battle so call Customer Care first and discuss your situation. Guzzi Canada does not have a Customer Care center and you have to call the 1-800 in Georgia USA.
Kevin Wilson at International Classic Motorcycles on the out skirts of Parksville is a sure bet with any problem. He knows Norton well , can rebuild a boxer blind folded and when it comes to Guzzi he shakes his head and likes the challenge.
Great guy we need more like him.

Re: suspension tuning for Griso's.
I know that there are suggestions on this, and other, forums on this and I've tried most of them without great success.
However, my mate Wayne from Oz visited last summer (he's a racer at several circuits there) and he set up my Griso suspension for me. It was so good that I swear it's a different bike - totally neutral and user friendly.
If you like I'll share the settings but consider first that I weigh in at 170 lbs - if you're near this then it could work for you.

Just took the 700 km trip to see Gord at Valley Moto ( Formerly Valley Yamaha ) , To get my California 1400 fixed. I never once thought I would be treated as well as I was, neverming the extra mile he went to get me back on my bike for the return 700km trip home. Just in talking to him while I was there he clearly has a great passion for these machines and I will go nowhere else myself, unless Gord goes then I will follow.

Another bump for Gord and Valley Moto.
Great service, great guy. Bought my bike from him and had it shipped up. He has answered every question I've had.

I bought my Stelvio there, get it serviced there. They are the only place to go for Guzzi servicing!
