Good evening,
Here i am once again posting about a problem. It's been a long time. Now, i'm planning on riding through the snowy mountains late january, & i have an issue - the pegs make my feet tingle at highway speed (100+ km/h) after about half an hour. I start feeling hard vibration during some spirited riding as well, but only after 4500 rpm wide throttle. My hands used to tingle as well, but after swapping grips and putting in some bar ends, the bars feel as smooth as a 4-banger.
Now, i've noticed the footpegs are made of rubber coated hollow steel. Would swapping these for solid aluminium, say, pegs off a honda, trumpy or duc, do anything? Could a dirty upper engine cause this, perhaps?
I'll also synch the carbs again just in case.

you didn't say what year yours is. My 2015 Stone does have more vibes than I would like in the pegs at 5000 & up. My 2017 V7 special is much less and closer to 6000 RPM so it doesn't bother me. I would take an hour and go over every nut bolt and screw on it just to make sure nothing is loose. I went so far as to put some old bar grips on the foot pegs and some old short but fat and heavy bar end weights that I cast from lead myself on the bottom of the pegs. there is a threaded hole there for feelers you can mount them too. It helped some.

It's a 2002. I'm also wearing Dainese Tempest boots when i ride, after my Redbacks filled with water after just 10 min in the rain. The redbacks had better rubber. Maybe i'm just noticing it more?

Another factor is that the previous owners welded the left header pipe - creating a bit of a constriction. However, this wasn't a problem until i rode it to Port Kembla late last month. Things to keep in mind, i guess

Ok. Just synched the carbies & found a whopping 80mm of difference! I last tuned them 3 months ago after noticing black smoke, but, i discovered the balancer itself was out of synch with the bike switched off, so i adjusted the needles & tried again.
The idle is now at 1100, & both have the same reading. That, & the rear of the airbox was wedged open.
Solid, weighted pegs from the bike shop next door cost around $300, but if this fails, i'm gunning for the pegs
